Today, we’re finally unveiling the complete transformation of this beautiful modern terrace.
In our previous blog, we explored the key issues this terrace came with and how we redesigned the space to meet every requirement the clients shared with us. If you haven’t read that yet, you can check it out here.
Before we move into the final reveal, let me walk you through the materials we carefully selected for this project.
Since the clients were very clear that they did not want any permanent built structures on the terrace, flexibility became our core design direction. They wanted the freedom to move, rearrange, and adapt the furniture layout as per their mood and lifestyle.
To support this vision, we created a strong architectural base clean, well-zoned, and durable so that the space remains functional even when the elements on top keep changing. This meant that our material palette had to be simple, cohesive, and capable of visually dividing zones without adding bulk. To achieve this balance, we relied on a thoughtful mix of flooring materials that complemented each other beautifully
Wooden-Finish Outdoor Tiles
These added warmth and gave the terrace a natural, inviting feel without the maintenance concerns of real wood.
Moroccan Pattern Tiles
Used to create visual interest, they brought a hint of playfulness and personality to the space.
Artificial Grass Turf
Perfect for creating a soft, relaxing lounge area, the turf added a refreshing green element and balanced the hard surfaces around.
Simple Functional Tiles for the Utility Zone
These were chosen purely for practicality easy to clean, durable, and ideal for a high-use area.
As mentioned earlier, another key aspect we played with was lighting. Instead of relying on uniform illumination, we strategically placed different types of lights to highlight specific areas and create varying moods. This not only enhances the functionality of each zone but also elevates the terrace’s ambience in the evening.

Together, these materials and placement of lights created gentle visual separations between the zones while maintaining continuity in the overall design. The result was a terrace that feels layered yet unified.
Now that we’ve walked through the entire design journey from understanding the challenges to crafting thoughtful solutions let’s move on to the most exciting part: the before and after pictures!
These visuals are the heart of any transformation story. They capture the true essence of what design can achieve. In this case, the terrace underwent a remarkable shift from a raw, underutilized space to a warm, vibrant, and highly functional outdoor retreat. Every corner now reflects the client’s desire for comfort, flexibility, and effortless style.
